1 1/2 cup flour
3/4 cup quick cooking oatmeal
1/4 cup wheat germ
1/4 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup canola oil
1/4 cup honey
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup water
Mix 1 cup flour with the rest of the ingredients. Stir in the rest of the flour. Knead dough and roll out to 1/4 inch thick. Cut shapes with cookie cutter. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Then turn oven off leaving treats in oven to cool for one hour. Store in airtight container. Also freezes well.
TIPS:
If you have a bread machine, mix this on the kneading cycle.
Roll out dough and cut into squares using a pizza cutter.
Believe it or not, the cheaper the peanut butter the better the cookies. No matter if they are dog treats or people treats. However Smart Balance Peanut Butter works great too.
