Here is a new twist on Sweet Tea

12 cups water

4 family sized tea bags (or 12 regular sized tea bags) of either black or green tea. Decaf is fine if you prefer it.

1 1/2 cups of sugar (or one cup agave nectar. Which is what I use)

1 1/3 cups fresh lemon juice

4 teaspoons almond extract

2 teaspoons lemon extract

Optional garnishes are lemon, lime or orange slices.

Bring 4 cups of water to a boil and pour over tea bags. Cover and let steep for 10 minutes. Discard tea bags. Bring remaining 8 cups water and sugar to a boil in a sauce pan. Boil for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and stir in tea, lemon juice and extracts. Chill and serve over ice (with garnishes if desired). This keeps well in the fridge. But chances are it will not last that long. *smile*
